No one was injured after a truck allegedly crashed into Doggie Detailing in Trenton on Dundas Street West.
Quinte West OPP confirmed Tuesday that the incident involved one vehicle, and there was property damage only reported. With the incident on private property, police also noted no Highway Traffic Act charges were being laid.
The pet groomer closed briefly Monday following the crash – due to what were described as safety reasons – but reopened for business as usual on Tuesday, Dec. 17, according to its social media.
Doggie Detailing also posted on Facebook about the crash, which states a customer accidentally drove a Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck into the building.
“Thankfully, no one was injured in the collision,” reads the post.
With the impact reportedly causing significant damage, and with the wall open to the elements, for safety reasons staff said they were advised to close briefly Monday to further assess the situation. According to a subsequent post, Warren & Co. Contracting came to the rescue and helped with repairs.
