A Frankford man has been charged with bestiality, say Belleville police.
In a release issued Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, the Belleville Police Service said the charge follows a complaint received on Nov. 23 from a male about the welfare of his dogs.
The complainant advised that he shares custody of the dogs with his ex but had evidence that the dogs were allegedly being mistreated, reported police.
During the investigation, the service said officers were allegedly provided videos showing the suspect committing explicit acts on the dogs.
On Dec. 19, 2024, police said they arrested a 38-year-old Frankford man, and he was charged with bestiality.
This charge has not been proven in court. The accused will appear in court on Jan. 30, 2025, reported police.
No other details were provided by police.
