No injuries are being reported after two separate multi-vehicle crashes on eastbound Hwy. 401 between Grafton and Cobourg Wednesday (Jan. 22).
The collisions just west of Grafton did cause major congestion along the highway.
According to OPP, the first crash east of Danforth Road involved several vehicles and was attributed to icy road conditions. The involved vehicles were reportedly cleared shortly after 1 p.m.
The second collision, which happened just before 1 p.m., involved a transport tanker and two passenger vehicles, said OPP, adding the tanker was removed from the highway shortly after 2 p.m.
Police are continuing to urge motorists to adjust driving to weather conditions, particularly with flurries still expected later this evening and overnight.
