Quinte West OPP say they’ve recovered a stolen vehicle from Toronto and arrested a Quebec resident.
The vehicle was allegedly recovered following police enforcement efforts on Hwy. 401, said OPP.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, just after 2:30 a.m., officers reportedly observed a vehicle travelling eastbound and determined it was earlier reported stolen out of Toronto.
The vehicle exited at Glen Miller Road, at which time, officers initiated a traffic stop and the driver was arrested, reported OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 21-year-old man from Saint-Jerome, Que. was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, trafficking in property obtained by crime, and flight from a peace officer.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
