The City of Quinte West is looking for a dedicated operator to manage the Front Street Farmers’ Market for the next four years.
Located at 67 Front St. in downtown Trenton, the market operates every Saturday from May to October and features around 40 seasonal vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade artisan goods. A registered member of Farmers’ Markets Ontario, the market also provides live music and family-friendly activities, drawing in approximately 500 visitors each season.
“The Front Street Farmers’ Market is a treasured local experience and cornerstone of Quinte West’s community calendar each season,” says Elizabeth Edwards, Economic Development Officer. “This is a unique opportunity for a community member who is interested in supporting and growing the local market economy.”
The selected operator will oversee the market’s vendor registration, programming, and onsite coordination. They will also help shape the overall market experience by managing entertainment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Interested individuals or organizations are encouraged to review the City’s Bids and Tenders page and submit a proposal through the City’s online procurement system.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 26, 2025, at 2 p.m.
