Police said their probe started after a call on Friday, May 2, at about 6 p.m., with officers responding to a disturbance involving occupants of a pick-up truck on Sandercock Road in Roseneath.
Officers reportedly found the vehicle unoccupied but were able to speak with the occupants at a nearby address.
One victim was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 34-year-old Roseneath man was charged with assault causing bodily harm – spousal, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus,) operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, and possessing more than one licence.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused won’t be named to protect the identity of the victim, said police, adding that the accused also had their licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
