Police say they’ve seized more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine following a drug-trafficking investigation that led to the arrests of Stirling-Rawdon and Quinte West residents.
According to OPP, the East Region community street crime unit started a drug-trafficking investigation back in April.
On Thursday, May 7, 2025, the investigation led to a seizure and two arrests in Stirling after members of the crime unit, tactics and rescue unit, emergency response team and Central Hastings OPP officers executed a traffic stop on Church Street, said police.
Two individuals were arrested without incident, reported OPP.
Police said search warrants were then executed at two Church Street residences, in addition to the car the accused were in.
In addition to the suspected cocaine, police said more than seven grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and more than $700 in cash and items typically associated with drug-trafficking were seized.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 56-year-old Stirling-Rawdon Township resident and 44-year-old Quinte West resident were each charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
