
According to OPP, a 44-year-old Colborne man is facing multiple charges following a BB gun incident involving youth near a local park.
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, just before 6:30 p.m., Northumberland OPP say officers responded to a report that a man had allegedly shot a BB gun at a group of young people near Rotary Centennial Drive in the town of Colborne.
Police say the youth were not injured. Officers located and arrested a suspect matching the description provided by witnesses.
Following an investigation, the man was charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, and use of an imitation firearm while committing an offence.
The OPP say there is no ongoing threat to public safety and that the investigation is still active.
