More than $64,000 was raised during Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Week in support of Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
The campaign, held from April 28 to May 4, saw every dollar from Smile Cookie sales at Tim Hortons locations in Cobourg and Colborne go directly to Community Care Northumberland’s hospice services. The final total-$64,204.74-will help ensure that families across Northumberland continue to receive compassionate end-of-life care.
Throughout the week, volunteers from Community Care Northumberland and Ed’s House worked alongside Tim Hortons staff to decorate thousands of cookies with the signature pink and blue smiles. The campaign also brought awareness to the vital role hospice care plays in the community.
The Ed’s House Foundation offered special thanks to local Tim Hortons owners Jen McCall and Brittany Bellamy, as well as manager Lisa Olson, for their leadership and dedication.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Tim Hortons restaurant owners Jen and Brittany, along with Lisa and the entire Tims staff, volunteers, and every community member who supported Ed’s House by purchasing Smile Cookies,” said Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland. “Your generosity helps ensure individuals and families in our community continue to receive the compassionate, high-quality hospice care they deserve.”
The Smile Cookie campaign has become a sweet way for Northumberland residents to show their support for local care.
