Brighton and Quinte West have closed several sports fields for the weekend due to the wet weather.
The Municipality of Brighton says all baseball diamonds and recreation fields will be closed for play this weekend due to the downpouring in the area in recent days.
The City of Quinte West also says due to ongoing wet conditions, its outdoor soccer fields and baseball diamonds will remain closed until Monday, May 26. Sports organizers are being notified of the extended closure, add city officials.
However, the SkyHawks parachute show in Centennial Park in Trenton as of Friday afternoon was still slated to go ahead Saturday evening as planned. The show is weather-dependent.
