Summer-inspired fun is just around the corner with the return of the City of Quinte West’s Pop-ups at Centennial Park starting this Friday, May 30.
“Each summer, the Pop-ups offer a fun and vibrant gathering spot for residents, visitors, friends and families,” said Shannon Millar, the city’s tourism co-ordinator. “We’re excited to welcome the community back to the Pop-ups in Centennial Park for another great season.”
And this year’s lineup is promising to deliver more tasty treats, rotating vendors – including new and returnees – the return of mini pop-ups, and more, all summer long.
The primary pop-up lineup includes Banana Splitz, Barbacoa Boyz, K-Food Express, Momo-Mentum, Street Thai Food, and the Forge Woodfired Pizza.
Meanwhile, organizers said the mini pop-ups – short-term, two-week rotating vendors – will offer up everything from handmade crafts to sweet treats. The lineup includes By the Yhard, Elsey Knits, From the Homestead, Hoselton Studios Ltd., Kings Card Company, Lucky Girl Designs, Makers Dozen, Lady Brazen Studios, Talk Sweet To Me, and Totes and More.
Adding to the fun, the plan is to also have family-friendly activities throughout the summer, featuring everything from themed days, to live entertainment, to lawn games, and more.
Activities also often correspond with other events at the Trenton park – and this opening weekend is anticipated to be a blast and will have lots of extras with the Bay of Quinte Arts Festival happening Saturday, and the Trenton Kinsmen Club Carnival running Thursday through Sunday.
Back to the Quinte West Pop-ups, hours to start – from May 30 to June 27 – are Friday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Starting July 3 and through to Aug. 30 hours will expand to Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pop-ups will also be in action on Canada Day.
People looking to learn more can visit the dedicated pop-ups page via the city’s website.
This is a great way to support local and Canadian businesses and explore Quinte West’s flagship park, added organizers.
