Quinte West OPP say a teen is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a truck while on a hoverboard in a Trenton crosswalk area.
Emergency crews responded to the call at the intersection of Dundas and Front streets just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.
Police said their initial investigation found that the 13-year-old was operating a hoverboard and was struck in the crosswalk as a pick-up truck was turning.
An off-duty doctor was reportedly also in the area and checked out the youth before he was transported to hospital by paramedics and later sent to a regional trauma centre.
The investigation is continuing.
