Belleville police say they’ve taken weapons, cocaine, fentanyl, crystal meth, and more off the streets after a drug-trafficking investigation.
The Belleville Police Service said the probe was spearheaded by the project renewal team and resulted in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant being executed in the east end of the city on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The team reportedly had help from the canine and emergency response units.
As a result of the investigation, police allege they’ve seized more than 230 grams of cocaine, nearly 40 grams of fentanyl, more than 21 grams of crystal methamphetamine, nearly $3,500 in cash, a 40-calibre Glock handgun with a high-capacity magazine containing 15 rounds, two prohibited knives, a collapsible baton, digital scales and eight cellphones.
Combined, some 70 charges have been laid.
According to police, several individuals were charged as a result of the probe, including two Belleville residents and three East York residents – among them a 17-year-old – as well as a Gatineau, Que. Resident.
