Music lovers are in for a treat this summer as five local concert bands come together for a first-of-its-kind joint performance.
The Community Concert Bands of 8 Wing, Belleville, Brighton, Trenton and Stirling will unite for a free concert at the Bob Wannamaker Amphitheatre in Trenton on Sunday, July 6. The show begins at 6 p.m. and is open to all.
Organizers say more than 100 musicians will take the stage, performing highlights from each band’s repertoire in what promises to be a powerful and memorable evening of live music.
The concert will also include special vocal appearances by Annie McGregor, Wendy Shaer, the Wannamakers, and the Brighton All Stars Vocal Ensemble.
“This is the first time a concert like this has ever happened in the region,” organizers said in a release, calling it “an epic evening of music and song.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and settle in for what’s expected to be one of the summer’s biggest musical events.
The concert is free and no tickets are required.
