
Northumberland OPP say drug and weapon-related charges have been laid after a police raid in Campbellford.
Police said on June 12, 2025, OPP officers the Peterborough-Northumberland community street crime unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an address on Grand Road.
A loaded handgun, replica handgun, and 480 grams of suspected cocaine were allegedly seized. Investigators estimate the drugs have a street value of about $48,000. Police said a large quantity of cash was also seized.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 24-year-old Trent Hills resident was arrested and charged with several offences, including possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, breach of firearms regulation – store firearm or restricted firearm, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
