The Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s signature fundraising gala returns in person this fall with a fresh new format to mark a special milestone.
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Foundation will host A Silver Soirée – Celebrating 25 Years of Giving on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the LiUNA Local 183 Lifelong Learning Centre in Cobourg.
The event, which has raised over $4.1 million since 2001 for hospital equipment and technology, is shifting from its traditional sit-down dinner to an “elevated cocktail reception.” Guests will experience an elegant evening while still enjoying many of the gala traditions supporters have come to love.
This year’s gala will be chaired by local physicians and longtime supporters, Dr. Kate Everdell and Dr. Emma Smith.
“We are honoured to have them serve as our Chairs for such a momentous occasion,” said Foundation CEO Rhonda Cunningham. “They bring compassion to both their medical work and community leadership.”
The Gala Cabinet has been working since spring to prepare, with volunteers managing décor, sponsorship, raffle, and more.
Tickets for A Silver Soirée go on sale September 9 at NHHFoundation.ca. Until then, organizers are encouraging the public to save the date and stay tuned for more announcements.
