Asphalt paving work is shutting down a portion of West Street, says the City of Quinte West.
The city says West Street between Barbara and Maple streets will be closed to through-traffic intermittently on Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27 to accommodate asphalt paving between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Signage will be posted indicating when the closure is in effect. When the road is closed, this section of West Street will be accessible to local traffic only, note city officials.
Truck traffic will also be detoured to Sidney Street via Creelman Avenue (southbound) or Dixon Drive (northbound.)
