
Northumberland OPP is calling on the public for help identifying a person of interest in connection with an alleged theft of a mountain bike near a high school in Campbellford.
According to OPP, their investigation dates back to June 18, when officers received a report about the theft believed to have occurred at about 2 p.m. that day.
“As part of the ongoing investigation, officers have followed several lines of inquiry and are now releasing an image of the individual believed to be connected to the incident,” said police, in their recent appeal for help.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the individual or anyone with information to reach out to the Northumberland OPP detachment in Campbellford at 705-653-3300 or OPP’s non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
Police provided a reference occurrence number of E250787050.
Investigators are also reminding residents that tipsters who want to remain anonymous can also go through Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. People who provide tips through Crime Stoppers do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
