
An investigation is continuing after a collision involving a truck and bicycle claimed the life of a 58-year-old Cramahe man, says Northumberland OPP.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at about 11:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a crash involving a pick-up truck and bicycle on County Road 2, between Colton Street and Jackson Drive, reported OPP.
In an update Wednesday morning, police confirmed the cyclist had died.
Technical collision investigators and a collision reconstructionist were also called to the scene, said OPP.
The road was closed until just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police are asking any witnesses – including anyone who observed the truck or cyclist prior to the crash – or anyone with any information regarding this ongoing investigation to reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police said an update will be provided when more information is available.
