
Two people escaped uninjured after a float plane crash landed on East Lake in Prince Edward County Wednesday afternoon, says OPP.
According to OPP, the crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the Flakes Cove area.
The fire department used a boat to rescue the two occupants who managed to get out of the plane and onto a wing, said OPP.
Residents in the area this afternoon can expect to see an increased police and first-responder presence as a result of the incident.
OPP said the Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified of the incident.
No other details have been released by police.
