Northumberland OPP says an inmate at Warkworth Institution has been charged after allegedly threatening staff.
Back on June 24, 2025, police said they received a report of threats made by an inmate towards a corrections officer at the medium-security facility. The incident allegedly occurred on June 16, 2025.
Following an investigation, police said a warrant was issued, and the 38-year-old man was charged on July 22 with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
This charge has not been proven in court.
