
Northumberland OPP says a 15-year-old Cramahe youth has been charged following an investigation into an alleged assault.
Back on June 19, 2025, police said they received a report about an altercation between individuals on William Street in the Township of Cramahe.
After arriving on scene, police said they spoke with the victim, who was assessed by paramedics as a precaution. Injuries were described as non-serious.
No other individuals were present when police arrived, added OPP.
Investigation allegedly revealed that a piece of sports equipment was used by the accused during the incident, said police, adding that a warrant was subsequently obtained for the individual’s arrest.
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, police said a 15-year-old from the Township of Cramahe was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
This charge has not been proven in court.
Police added that the youth cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The accused is set to appear in Cobourg court at a later date.
