You may see Brighton staff motoring around on a scooter starting in August as the municipality starts tackling sidewalk inspections.
The Municipality of Brighton says these efforts are part of a new program where a staffer will use a scooter to scope out public sidewalks to identify and document sidewalks that are cracked, have lifting or missing panels, poor drainage or weathered edges.
“The data collected will help us prioritize and plan sidewalk repairs, ensuring a safer and more accessible environment for all residents and visitors,” says the municipality.
The inspections will be taking place throughout August.
