After responding to a report of a disturbance involving a person allegedly acting aggressively towards staff at a healthcare facility, Northumberland OPP say they’ve laid charges.
On Aug. 11, 2025, at about 3:40 p.m., Northumberland OPP said officers responded to a threats call at an address on Oliver Road, “where a person was reportedly acting aggressively toward staff.”
After arriving on scene, police said the individual had left the area but through investigation, officers obtained a description of the suspect.
Later that evening, officers located the individual in the area of Front Street North and Bridge Street East where they were taken into custody, reported OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 59-year-old with no fixed address was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, uttering threats to damage property, and failure to comply with a probation order.
None of these charges have been proven in court. No other details were released by police.
