Grant-in-aid applications are now being accepted for Brighton non-profits looking for some financial help.
The Municipality of Brighton’s community grant program is part of the annual budget process, and aims to help non-profit, community-based organizations providing direct programs, services or activities that enhance quality of life for residents under several areas, explain municipal staff.
Specifically, the grants help under social services, health, arts and culture, heritage, recreation, and youth, cemetery and environmental initiatives.
Online, it states there are three streams. Community project grants help with seed money or in-kind support for specific projects up to $1,000. Meanwhile, a community investment grant is described as funding or in-kind support for a project, special event, specific programs or operating budgets up to $5,000.
And finally, there are non-profit major grants, which will help with monies or in-kind support for specific programs or capital budgets/projects that support municipal core services and/or mandates up to $20,000.
Organizations looking to learn more can visit the municipality’s website and also put in applications online. Applications are due by Sept. 30, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.
