Construction work is ramping up in the Harbour and Walas street areas in Brighton, with a full road closure planned until the end of October.
In a recent notice from the Municipality of Brighton on the road closure, it states that Harbour Street – from the Edgewater Drive and Dockside Lane area through to Walas and up to Raglan – will be closed effective Monday, Aug. 25 until about Oct. 31, 2025.
The closure is needed for the reconstruction project, though residents and emergency vehicles will maintain access in the Harbour Street area, note municipal staff.
Harbour Street businesses will also remain open, and officials continue to encourage residents to shop and support local.
All traffic is urged to follow the detour route to navigate the construction zone area.
