A Foxboro resident is facing drug- and weapon-related charges after an arrest in Stirling, says OPP.
On Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, shortly before 2 p.m., Central Hastings OPP said officers responded to a report of suspicious activity and found a man who had outstanding arrest warrants in another part of the province.
The individual was arrested, and a search allegedly turned up a handgun and quantity of suspected cocaine, reported police, adding that the man was also wearing a bulletproof vest.
As a result of the investigation, police said a search warrant was executed by Central Hastings OPP, the tactics and rescue unit and emergency response team, at an apartment on West Front Street in Stirling.
Police said Christopher Foster, 42, of Foxboro, now faces charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and the Highway Traffic Act, including: Carrying a concealed weapon, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a schedule I substance, driving while under suspension, using a plate not authorized for a vehicle, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was held for a bail hearing in Belleville on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.
