Quinte West OPP is calling on the public for help with an investigation into a series of mischief incidents in Trenton.
Police said on Aug. 26, 2025, at about 9 a.m., they responded to a complaint of mischief involving a residence that had been spraypainted on Telephone Road.
Further investigation revealed several additional properties in the surrounding area had also been vandalized by graffiti with slurs relating to race and sexual orientation, said police, adding it’s believed the incidents occurred between the evening of Aug. 25 and Aug. 26, 2025.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information regarding the person(s) responsible to reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Crime Stoppers is also an anonymous option, where tips can be submitted online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
Tipsters through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
