Does your kid have talent? If so, the Children’s Safety Village of Belleville says shine on at this year’s “Kids Got Talent 2025” showcase.
Registration for auditions opens this coming Monday, Sept. 8, and will run until Sept. 30, the organization has announced.
“This exciting annual showcase gives young performers the chance to take the stage, share their talents and compete for cash prizes – all while raising vital funds to support the village’s free, hands-on safety education programs,” explained organizers.
The actual auditions will come later – between Oct. 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. – and will be 10 minutes long.
“Kids Got Talent is about more than the spotlight – it’s about creating a safe, encouraging space where young people can express themselves, build confidence and shine,” said Rachelle Baldock, executive director of the Children’s Safety Village. “With $5,000 in prizes and a special guest from ‘Canada’s Got Talent,’ Season 6 is set to be our most inspiring and memorable year yet.”
Performers – soloists and groups – must be between the ages of four and 17 as of Nov. 9, noted organizers, adding Kids Got Talent welcomes singers, dancers, gymnasts, acrobats, cheer squads, circus acts, comedians, magicians, instrumentalists, and theatrical performances (dramatic or musical).
Solo performers or groups with one-to-four members can register online to secure an audition time, while groups of five-to-10 members are asked to view a competition details document for special audition instructions before registering.
Registration is free, but space is limited, so organizers said participants are encouraged to book early to guarantee an audition spot.
The actual showcase is set for Nov. 9 at the Empire Theatre in Belleville. The Kids Got Talent 2025 finalists showcase their performances live on stage, with winners netting cash prizes.
“Judges will include a panel of community leaders and local talent experts.”
Kids Got Talent marks its sixth year in 2025 and often draws hundreds of families yearly to cheer on the region’s rising stars.
“The event not only highlights the creativity and dedication of local youth but also raises essential funds for the Children’s Safety Village of Belleville.”
The Children’s Safety Village is described as a registered charity dedicated to providing barrier-free, hands-on safety education for kids across Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
