On Sept. 25, 2025, at about 4:45 p.m., OPP said officers conducted a traffic stop in the Monogram Place area, which led to two individuals being arrested for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle. Further investigation led to additional charges being laid under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Liquor Licence and Control Act, reported OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 28-year-old North York resident was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.
Further, police said a 56-year-old Scarborough resident was also charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused will appear in Belleville court at a later date, reported OPP.
