There are some changes in the works for garbage bag tags in Northumberland – but no price hikes.
Northumberland County has announced a new look is coming for the bag tags and the redesigned batch will start rolling out in the coming weeks.
“These new tags feature a gold foil band and new purple colour to support easier identification and improve program integrity,” said the county.
Existing green tags will still be accepted at the curb and don’t need to be exchanged – they’ll be phased out naturally over time and no deadline is set for their discontinuation, added officials.
“These is no change in pricing for the new tags.”
