
It’s been a lucky week in Northumberland County, with three significant lottery wins announced by Ontario Lottery and Gaming.
In Campbellford, George and Joyce Taylor won $250,000 with an Instant Crossword Deluxe ticket. The couple said they were in disbelief when they realized they had the winning ticket, describing the experience as “mind-blowing.” They plan to use the money to support their family’s future. Their ticket was purchased at RX Drug Mart on Grand Road.
A group of 21 colleagues in the mining industry also hit it big, sharing a $1 million LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball prize from the June 18 draw. Group members include Cory Goodfellow of Brighton, several residents of Colborne, Castleton, and Grafton, along with participants from elsewhere in Ontario. Goodfellow said he was stunned when he discovered the win, adding that the prize has brought the group even closer together. Their winning ticket was purchased at Sobeys on Main Street in Brighton.
In Madoc, 51-year-old Lisa Parsons won a Poker Lotto All In jackpot worth $130,387, plus $5,000 on the instant portion of her play, bringing her total to more than $135,000. Parsons said she was in disbelief when she realized she had won, and shared the news widely with family and friends. Her ticket was purchased at Guardian – Johnston Pharmacy on St. Lawrence Street East.
According to OLG, all three prizes were recently claimed at the Prize Centre in Toronto.
