The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand is calling on residents to share their thoughts on how municipal funds should be used in the coming year as it launches the 2026 budget survey.
Community members are invited to provide feedback on the current and future funding of township services and programs. The input collected will help Council and staff determine budget priorities and guide decisions on spending, infrastructure, and community projects for 2026.
“This survey gives residents a voice in shaping how we invest in our community,” the township said in a release Thursday, adding that all submissions will be carefully reviewed during the budget planning process.
The 2026 budget survey is available online through the township’s community engagement portal at www.ahtwp.ca/communityengagement.
Residents can also complete a paper copy of the survey, available at the Grafton Municipal Office, as well as the Centreton, Grafton, and Roseneath Public Libraries.
Feedback must be submitted by Oct. 26, 2025.
The township says public participation plays a key role in ensuring local spending reflects community needs and helps maintain transparency in the budget process.
