
An investigation is continuing after a 69-year-old Quinte West man died following a single-vehicle crash in Prince Edward County, say police.
According to OPP, a driver was found dead after a single-vehicle crash in the Loyalist Parkway/Highway 33 area in Prince Edward County on Thanksgiving Monday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near Wellington at about 8:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, reported OPP.
Police said an eastbound pick-up truck had left the roadway and hit some trees – the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was able to get out of the truck and was located nearby. He was rushed to hospital with no vital signs and later pronounced deceased, said police.
The individual has been identified as a 69-year-old Quinte West man, reported OPP.
Prince Edward County OPP and OPP’s East Region traffic incident management enforcement team continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
No other details were released by police.
