Six people are facing charges after a probe into a large outdoor cannabis production site in the Centre Hastings area, say police.
In October 2025, OPP’s East Region community street crime unit initiated the investigation, and found a link to an address where cultivated cannabis plants were being transported to be dried and processed, said police.
After the execution of two search warrants at residences on Hwy. 62 and Moira Road, six people were arrested related to cultivation of cannabis, reported OPP.
Investigators said they seized more than 700 cannabis plants, cellphones, an enclosed trailer and a tractor.
As a result of the probe, police said four Scarborough residents, one Stirling resident and one Centre Hastings resident were all charged under the Cannabis Control Act with cultivate, propagate or harvest more than four cannabis plants.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused were all released from custody and will appear in Belleville court on Nov. 10, 2025, reported OPP.
