Northumberland OPP is calling on the public to weigh in on a new police action plan.
“As we work to develop an action plan that reflects the unique needs and priorities of Northumberland County, we’re asking our community to share their voice,” said Insp. Michael Cavanagh, who also serves as the helm of Northumberland OPP as detachment commander.
“Your input is essential in helping us shape a safer and more responsive future for everyone who lives and works here.”
The action plan is for 2026 to 2029 and an online survey where people can have their say is accessible online (or by scanning this QR code).
The detachment tackles a new action plan every three years to address changing local priorities and concerns.
Part of the development of the plan involves a community consultation phase to gather resident and partner feedback on what should be included, explained officials.
