Presented by Scotiabank, the “TMH Stranded in Style – An Evening on Gilligan’s Island” gala was held at the Batawa Community Centre on Oct. 18, 2025.
The official tally is now in and the hospital foundation has announced the 2025 gala raised a staggering $451,401 in support of the “Emerge Stronger” campaign.
“The incredible success of ‘Stranded in Style’ shows what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose,” said Lindsay Butcher Dodds, the hospital foundation’s executive director. “Our heartfelt thanks (goes out) to every sponsor, donor, volunteer and guest who helped make this evening extraordinary.
“Your generosity will have a lasting impact on healthcare in our community.”

Gala chairs Michelle Mackay and Tina Furmidge also commented they were amazed at this year’s turnout and deeply grateful to the community for rallying behind the fundraiser.
All funds raised are helping with critical projects at TMH, including the emergency department expansion, medical equipment purchases, and rollout of a new medical information system.
