The Northumberland Humane Society is bringing sweetness to the season with its Purdy’s 4 Paws chocolate fundraiser to support animals awaiting their forever homes.
By ordering your favourite Purdy’s chocolates through the NHS fundraising page, up to 30 per cent of your purchase will directly benefit local animals in need, says the organization. All Purdy’s treats are made in Canada and carefully packed at the company’s Vancouver chocolate factory.
“Every box of chocolates brings joy twice,” says the Northumberland Humane Society team. “Once to the person receiving it and once to the animals who rely on our care.”
Orders can be made online through the official fundraiser link until Nov. 18 or by contacting Krystyne at 289-252-2236, ext. 25 for assistance. Purchased chocolates will be available for pickup starting Dec. 12 at the NHS Thrift Store (24 Covert Street in Cobourg.)
Whether ordering for friends, family or colleagues, every purchase helps provide food, shelter and veterinary care for animals in need. Supporters are also encouraged to challenge coworkers to see who can generate the most orders.
