The City of Quinte West is modernizing its building permit process with a new digital e-permitting system designed to make applying for and managing permits faster, easier, and more efficient.
The system replaces traditional paper applications and streamlines the entire process-from submission to approval. Applicants can now track the progress of their permits in real time, book inspections online, and instantly view inspection results. The system also allows users to submit updated drawings, plans, or reports electronically, improving communication with city staff and helping to reduce project delays.
Online payment options are now available as well, creating a fully digital, user-friendly experience for homeowners, businesses, and contractors.
“The launch of the City’s new building e-permitting system is a step forward in enhancing our service delivery,” said Phillip Lappan, Chief Building Official. “Our team is committed to providing a more accessible, transparent, and efficient process for Quinte West residents, businesses and contractors.”
The city notes that applicants with accessibility needs can request assistance from staff in submitting their applications or continue to use paper forms if preferred.
Residents, businesses, and contractors are encouraged to take advantage of the new digital system when applying for their next building permit.
