On Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, police issued an appeal saying they’re hoping the public can help identify a suspect involved in a hit and run back on Oct. 18, 2025.
According to OPP, at about 11:30 p.m. that day, officers responded to a collision report involving a passenger vehicle and pedestrian in the County Road 30 and County Road 35 intersection area.
The pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious injuries, reported OPP.
According to the initial investigation, police said it’s believed one motorist stopped, exited their vehicle and was then hit by the other vehicle before leaving the scene. The complainant described a white Nissan Qashqai with a plate number similar to DMV711, which also had yellow backing in the format of a service plate, said police, adding that the driver is believed to be a man in his 50s or 60s.
