There’s lots happening for trick-or-treaters in Brighton tonight.
When you’re out on the hunt for candy, you can also visit with firefighters, Mayor Brian Ostrander, library staff, the parks and rec team, and more.
Trick-or-treaters will be welcomed at Brighton Fire and Rescue Station No. 1 (20 Elizabeth St.) from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Families and kids can also swing by the library for trick-or-treating with the mayor and library staff from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
And at the King Edward Park Arena, there will be spooky fun, sweet treats and fun on the ice from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
In terms of a few safety tips, officials continue to encourage trick-or-treaters to choose flame-resistant, well-fitting costumes and to add reflective tape and carry flashlights. Meanwhile, face paint allows for better visibly over masks.
Officials also remind folks to cross streets safely at corners – not between cars – and to check treats before eating.
