The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation has kicked off its 2025 Christmas campaign with a major boost: a $50,000 matching gift from The Maurice and Marilyn Rollins Foundation.
The holiday appeal focuses on raising funds for urgently needed surgical equipment, and the matching contribution means every community donation will be doubled until the $50,000 limit is reached.
The foundation says the support comes at a critical time. Trenton Memorial Hospital performs more than 8,000 surgeries each year, and modern surgical tools are essential to maintaining safe, efficient care close to home. This year’s campaign aims to raise more than $300,000 to upgrade and replace a range of equipment, including a Digital Duet Laser for eye surgeries, flexible cystoscopes, orthopedic power tools, patient stretchers and an operating room table.
The Rollins Foundation’s matching initiative is designed to encourage early giving, allowing donors to see their gift go twice as far. With budgets tightening across the health-care sector, the foundation says donor-funded equipment plays a vital role in ensuring patients in Quinte West and surrounding communities continue to receive timely treatment.
The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is inviting residents, businesses and community groups to contribute during the holiday campaign and help accelerate the purchase of equipment that supports frontline surgical teams.
The matching gift will remain in place until all $50,000 in available funds has been doubled. Donors are encouraged to give early to guarantee their contribution is matched.
