A 16-year-old youth is facing serious charges after Belleville police say they responded to a report of threats being made.
Police said they responded to the incident on Nov. 24, 2025, at about 10:30 p.m., where it was reported that three youths approached a male in a local park and one of the youths allegedly brandished a knife and made threatening comments.
After an investigation, police said they tracked down the suspect, and as a result, on Nov. 25, a 16-year-old Belleville male was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
