From the launch of the new Holiday Eats and Treats dine campaign, to the Road to Christmas shop late event, you have lots of options to show your local love in Brighton this holiday season.
The Municipality of Brighton and Downtown Brighton (the DBIA) are teaming up to put together the dine local campaign, which will not just support area eateries but offer people a chance to win big.
According to the municipality, the big winner gets a $50 gift card to a Brighton eatery of their choice for every month in 2026, which translates to a $600 win.
For a chance to win, residents have between Dec. 1 and Jan. 3 to visit and make a purchase from three participating eateries and complete a Holiday Eats and Treats card. The cards include details like eatery information, visit dates, time spent, and a signature from a staffer – all of which have to be filled out to be valid.
Participating businesses include Just Like Granny’s, Parris & Co. Coffee Bar, Lola’s Cafe, the Tin Roof Ice Creamery, the Whistling Duck, Vito’s Pizzeria, and Special Effects Lifestyle Boutique and Tearoom, said the municipality.
Those looking to get in on the action right away can find cards at participating businesses, municipal offices on Alice Street, or download the card online. After you and the cards are filled up, people have until midnight Jan. 3, 2026, to submit their cards for a chance to win.
Cards will be accepted online through the municipality and in-person at 35 Alice St. The draw will take place about mid-January and only the winner will be contacted, added organizers.
There is more information – including some “fine print” details – accessible online.
And tonight, there’s lots happening in downtown Brighton with the Road to Christmas shop late event underway as of 4 p.m. through to 7 p.m. From holiday promotions to “exclusive specials” and all kinds of festive fun, several participating businesses will keep their doors open late this evening and welcome shoppers.
Whether you’re looking to hit up the day spa, the Clan Shoppe, the new Walking Owls Books, Echelon Hobbies for some games, the Shoe Store, wish etc., or the dollar store for stocking stuffers, you’ve got options.
