A Stoney Creek resident is facing charges after a traffic stop in Quinte West, say police.
According to Quinte West OPP, the accused was stopped Nov. 27, 2025, at about 11 p.m., and then an impaired driving investigation initiated, resulting in an arrest and a trip to the police station for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 26-year-old Stoney Creek resident was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused is due to Belleville court on Dec. 18, 2025.
