The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) has launched a new online store, offering customized clothing to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
The store debuts with a limited-edition band t-shirt designed for The Reachers, CMHA HKPR’s own band of individuals with lived experience of mental illness. The Reachers use music to champion mental health, recovery, and the importance of the arts for overall well-being. Partial proceeds from the t-shirt go directly to support the band, making it both a stylish statement and a meaningful gift.
In the coming months, CMHA HKPR plans to expand the online store with more designs, with all proceeds supporting mental health services in the region. The initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering knowledge, hope, and belonging in the community.
This project is made possible through a partnership with Ricart’s, a long-time sponsor of CMHA HKPR. Matt D’Agostini of Ricart’s says, “Supporting mental wellness in our community has always been a priority, and this online store is a creative way to raise awareness while giving people a chance to show their support.”
The online store allows residents to combine style with advocacy for mental health. Shoppers can show support for The Reachers and CMHA HKPR programs while giving back to the community.
