An investigation into alleged drug-trafficking in the downtown Trenton area has resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine and crack cocaine, say police.
The investigation was initiated by OPP’s East Region community street crime unit earlier this year and culminated in a warrant executed at an apartment on Creswell Drive on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, reported OPP.
The crime unit had help on the raid from OPP’s emergency response team and uniform Quinte West OPP officers.
As a result of the investigation, police said officers seized more than 32 grams of suspected fentanyl, more than 2.5 grams of suspected cocaine, and more than two grams of suspected crack cocaine, as well as cash and items typically associated with drug-trafficking. Two people were arrested at the scene without incident, added police.
The probe has led to two Quinte West residents – ages 30 and 53 – both charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
