A 29-year-old Belleville man is facing charges after an intimate partner violence investigation, say police.
On Dec. 24, at about 12:37 a.m., the Belleville Police Service said officers responded to a residence in the east end for a domestic dispute call.
“It was reported that a male had pushed a female to the ground and threatened to slit her throat,” said police.
As a result of investigation, police said a 29-year-old Belleville man was charged with assault, uttering threats, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was released on an undertaking and will appear in court in February.
