As heard on Morning’s with York on Classic Rock 107.9, Cobourg Rotary is gearing up for a night of music, fundraising and community spirit with the return of Diamonds and Denim on February 6 at the LiUNA Hall.
Rotary members Tracy and Brad West joined York Bell Smith to share details about the popular annual fundraiser, which blends a relaxed country theme with high-end auction items and live entertainment.
Brad West says the goal is to create an evening that feels welcoming and fun while still delivering a memorable experience.
The night also includes line dancing with an instructor on hand, plus a mechanical bull for guests feeling adventurous.
One of the highlights of the evening is the return of a live auction, alongside a full silent auction. Tracy West says this year’s items are especially exciting.
“We are bringing back the live auction and we have four amazing items,” she said, including platinum tickets to the Canadian Country Music Awards in Saskatoon with travel and accommodations, an original artwork by local artist Jana Ewart, and a diamond ring from TK Jewelers in downtown Cobourg.
Brad West explains that, at its core, the event is about giving back.
Tickets are $125 and available at cobourgrotary.ca, with food provided by Prep Food Co. and desserts from Vdoma Bakery and Café.
Diamonds and Denim takes place Friday, February 6, bringing together community, music and meaningful local impact, all in true Rotary style.
