Old man winter had emergency crews responding to multiple collisions throughout the day in Northumberland County.
At press deadline, no major injuries had been reported.
The storm wreaked havoc on Hwy. 401 with a number of crashes, including a multi-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes in Port Hope, west of Toronto Road early in the day. Before this, a tractor-trailer jack-knifed in the westbound lanes in Port Hope.
There was a two-vehicle wreck later in the day in the eastbound lanes, west of Theatre Road, in the Township of Hamilton, involving a commercial motor vehicle, which also caused delays along the highway.
These were just a few of the calls emergency crews had to answer.
Storm cleanup is continuing.
